BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL – Boylan senior TJ Baker closed out his high school golfing career in style with the Class 2-A individual state championship.

Baker made the shot of the day, and arguably the whole state tournament, drilling a hole-in-one on the par three seventh at Weibring Golf Club. Baker shot a two-round 134, good enough to win the individual crown by one stroke over Notre Dame’s Alex McCulla of Quincy.

Highlights of Baker’s performance at state are courtesy of 13 WREX’s partners in Peoria, WEEK-TV.

Boylan finished third in the team standings, paced by Baker’s huge finale.
