ROCKFORD (WREX) — It’s out with the old and in with the new at Keith Country Day School as it presented a new playground.
The new and improved playground comes thanks to a donation from the Beto-Griffin family, who helped with the ribbon cutting ceremony Friday. The eager kids could’t wait to try out the new slides, swings and monkey bars. The school says its schoolyard is actually a key part of education.
“This is a place, right here on this playground, where they learn problem solving skills, they make friends that last for a lifetime, and they learn to play together, they learn to share,” said Ashleigh VanThiel, Head of school and co-lead.
The same family that donated the playground also donated the last playground at Keith Country Day School.
