ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Rockford Chamber of Commerce hosted its Heartbeat of Healthcare Luncheon Thursday afternoon at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center.
The event looked to shed a light on one of Rockford’s largest employment bases and what they are doing for the community.
“Well, you see so much investment in healthcare going on in the community with our infrastructure. That serves for us to be a regional healthcare destination, which means we have people who come here purely to receive quality healthcare,” said Rockford Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Einar Forsman.
A major topic of discussion was the leadership change for Crusader Health and its future plans to continue to improve healthcare for its patients.
“Rockford is just a fascinating and fun community to serve. We continue to grow our patient base and serve more and more patients, and we just want to be the healthcare solution for the many people in need in Rockford,” said Crusader Community Health Executive Vice President and CFO Sam Miller.
Crusader broke ground on its new West State Street campus earlier this week and plan to serve the community and patients for years to come.
