ROCKFORD (WREX) — On Wednesday night fans of the One Chicago series watched an epic three hour crossover of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D.

Weeks before this episode aired, 13 News Reporter Mary Sugden traveled to Chicago to talk to the cast and crew on the red carpet, and go behind the scenes to see how they make these major episodes happen.

“It’s the biggest we’ve done,’ said Executive Producer Derek Haas. “We tried to say let’s top ourselves from any crossovers that we’ve done. It’s big action sequences and sets and scope we haven’t had before.”

“It’s a three hour movie,” says Eamonn Walker who places Chief Wallace Boden in Chicago Fire. “I think it’s the longest cross over we’ve ever shot,” added Jesse Spencer who portray Captain Matthew Casey. “Yeah and the most intricate we’re really crossing over a lot,” said Walker.

Here’s some behind the scenes snippets of who Mary talked to while on set of these three shows. If you’d like to hear more from the stars on the red carpet, watch the video above.
