ROCKFORD (WREX) — Sunday was a day filled with treats for all monsters, princesses and super heroes.

The Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum hosted its second annual Trunk or Treat event. The museum partnered with Anderson Toyota for the Halloween event.

Kids and their parents got their chance to take a tour of the museum, make arts and crafts and of course get candy.

Organizers say the event is a great way for kids to show off their costumes and kick off the Halloween season.

“Not only are they getting a little but of history of our community with the first floor tours but it’s something for us to give back to the community as well and something for the kids to look forward to in this time of year,” said Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum Executive Director Samantha Hochmann.

There was also a raffle for a family to win a free membership to the museum.
