BELOIT (WREX) — In front of a packed crowd at the Eaton Chapel in Beloit, Wisconsin, the former vice president of the United States paid a visit.
Dick Cheney was interviewed on stage by former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker as part of a Young America’s Foundation event. Cheney touched on a variety of topics from the country’s relationship with foreign leaders to hs political party.
“Who do you look to int he conservative movement today that gives you hope for the future?” asked Walker.
“My daughter,” Cheney responded. The crowd responded with a laugh and applause.
Walker also asked Cheney whether the thinks Russia is a bigger threat than the United States is acknowledging.
“One of the things that concerns me is the fact that president Trump I don’ think he has the same view of Putin as I do, what I see as a KGB colonel. That’s what he’s always been, that’s what he is now. And I worry very much that it’s important that we understand that,” said Cheney.
