City of Rockford issues travel advisory ahead of rally in downtown Rockford

ROCKFORD (WREX) — The City of Rockford has issued a travel advisory ahead of this weekend’s first-ever Olympic Table Tennis trials in Rockford.

Rally RKFD, a family-friendly downtown community event hosted by the RACVB to celebrate the first-ever Olympic Table Tennis trials in Rockford, will take place Saturday. The event starts at 11 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m.

Roadways for the event area will be closed at 7 a.m. and remain closed until 6 p.m.

— N. Main Street from Elm Street to Mulberry Street will be closed
— W. State St. from Wyman St. to 301 W. State St. will be closed
— Local businesses will remain open, and on street parking as well as municipal lots have unrestricted parking times.
