Three teenagers arrested for armed robbery in DeKalb

DEKALB, Ill. (WREX) — A 14, 16 and 17-year-old are now in custody following an armed robbery that happened earlier this week.

DeKalb Police say it happened in the 100 block of N. Annie Glidden Rd. around 9 p.m. Monday.

Officers say the victims were walking in the area when three teenage boys demanded money and threatened to shoot them.

The suspects ran away after taking the victims money.

Police say surveillance video led investigators to identifying the suspects. All three boys were arrested on Thursday for aggravated robbery.

All three juveniles were taken to the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center.
