Two Men and a Truck to host collection drive to help Rockford animal shelter

ROCKFORD (WREX) — Two Men and a Truck are hosting an annual collection drive to benefit PAWs Humane Society in Rockford.

Movers for Mutts kicks off Monday, Sept. 16. The annual program aims to provide animals living in shelters with necessary items such as food, distilled water, cat litter, cleaning supplies, pet toys, and other essential items.

All proceeds from this year’s program will benefit PAWs Humane Society.

“It’s incredibly important work PAWs does for the animals in our community, and we are happy to once again be supporting them with our Movers For Mutts campaign”, says Shannen Eden, Marketing Coordinator at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Rockford.

Collection boxes have been placed at local businesses throughout the community and will be picked up at the end of October.

Necessary items for donation include but are not limited to:

  • Paper towels
  • Small paper plates
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Liquid hand soap
  • Latex Gloves

Gift cards are being asked for the following stores: PetCo, Menards, Lowes, Farm & Fleet and Home Depot.

The collection drive runs from Monday, Sept. 16 through Monday, Oct. 28.
