Police: Thousands of dollars worth of jewelry stolen from Sam’s Club

ROCKFORD (WREX) — Rockford Police are looking for a suspect who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from Sam’s Club.

Police say they responded to the store around 1:30 Tuesday a.m. for a burglary alarm.

When officers arrived, they noticed a set of doors had been forced open. Police say a jewelry display case was damaged with several items missing. Police believe the pieces taken were worth several thousands of dollars.

Authorities say the suspect left the store in a black, four door sedan.
