Grand Jury indicts man alleged role in May murder

ROCKFORD (WREX) — A third man has been indicted by a Grand Jury for his alleged role in the murder of a Rockford rapper back in May, according to the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Officials say Dakota Graff was recently indicted on first degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder, concealment of a homicidal death and obstruction of justice charges, according to the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office.

On June 1, police took a missing persons report for 23-year-old William Pickering, whose rap name was EBE Bandz. Detectives eventually found his body in a wooded area in rural Winnebago County. An autopsy revealed he died of blunt force trauma to the head.

William Arzate, 22, faces two counts of first degree murder and one count of concealment of a homicidal death.
Miguel Ramirez, 22, faces one count of concealment of a homicidal death.

Graff is the third person to be charged in the death. William Arzate and Manuel Ramirez have also been indicted.

Graff is in custody in the Winnebago County Jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. on Sept. 12 in front of Judge Randy Wilt.

Arzate is scheduled to be in court at 9 a.m. on Oct. 1 and Ramirez is scheduled to be in court at 9 a.m. on Sept. 10.
