ROCKFORD (WREX) – One local organization encouraged the community to think about their favorite things about Rockford.

Transform Rockford held a pop-up tent downtown during 815 Day celebrations. Participants wrote down what they like best about Rockford and taped them up to a wall.

Those walking around downtown Rockford could read the notes and spread the word about the great opportunities Rockford has to offer.

“By sharing our positives and what other people think are positives of Rockford it helps other people to kind of open up their eyes and say you know that is a really cool aspect that we have here in the region,” said Katryna Kirby, Transform Rockford strategy and communications manager.

Some posted they loved the food, the parks and the people in the community. Others say it’s the place they call home.

Transform Rockford works to make Rockford a top 25 community by the year 2025.
