Third suspect charged in Rockford rapper’s murder

ROCKFORD (WREX) — Charges have been filed against a third person for a murder in June.

Dakota Graff, 21, has now been charged with first degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder, burglary and concealment of a homicidal death.

On June 1, police took a missing persons report for 23-year-old William Pickering, whose rap name was EBE Bandz. Officers failed to locate Pickering, but found his vehicle in the 500 block of Fisher Ave.

The investigation led officers to 5200 Indianhead Avenue where a crime scene was discovered.

Officers received information to find the remains of Pickering in rural Winnebago County.

During a press conference in June, police charged two men in the murder: William Azarte, 22, and Manuel Ramierz, 22.

Arzate faces two counts of first degree murder and one count of concealment of a homicidal death while Ramirez faces one count of concealment of a homicidal death.

Police say Graff is still at large and anyone with information is being asked to contact Rockford Police or Crime Stoppers.
