Husband, wife murdered; police have two persons of interest

ROCKFORD (WREX) — A husband and wife have been murdered and police say they have two people of interest.

Christina Langston-Hill, 27, and her husband, Teon Hill, 28, were killed Thursday morning at their home on Bruce St.

Last month, police responded to the same home for an incident where Langston-Hill was dog sitting for a friend when two men allegedly broke into the home and shot a dog several times, causing it to die.

Kelvin Langston, 28, and Douglas Hollyfield, 26, both of Rockford, are accused of shooting a dog several times causing it to die.

Rockford Police say the same two suspects wanted for killing the dog are now persons of interest in the murder, but are not considered suspects at this time.

Police say Kelvin Langston and Christina Langston-Hill were brother and sister. Police also say Langston-Hill had a order of protection filed against Langston and a no stalking order against Hollyfield, which was set to expire on Thursday.

Warrants are still out Kelvin Langston and Douglas Hollyfield for allegedly killing the dog.

Rockford Police is now investigating if the two incident’s are related.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Rockford Police Department at 815-966-2900 or Crime Stoppers at 815-963-7867.
