Two teens arrested in Machesney Park, car burglary investigation underway

MACHESNEY PARK (WREX) — The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is investigating car burglaries Thursday morning in Machesney Park.

The sheriff’s office says deputies responded to Ventura Blvd at 5 a.m. Thursday for two teens in a suspicious vehicle.

When deputies pulled the vehicle over the teens tried to run away, according to authorities.

Those teens are now in custody and the sheriff’s office is investigating their connection to multiple car burglaries in the area.
