Study: Rockford named a top 20 city to retire in

(WREX) — If you’re looking to retire soon, a new study says Rockford is one of the best places for you to retire.

In a new study done by SeniorAdvise.com, Rockford ranked as the 18th best city to retire in the country.

According to the study, some of what makes Rockford a leading candidate is it’s proximity to Chicago and affordable housing.

The study also cites all of the parks, outdoor areas and golf courses in the city as well.

The final part of the study looks at the population, citing that 16 percent of Rockford’s population is 65 and older and has over 40 different senior living facilities in the area.

Coral Springs, Florida came in at number one on the list. To view the full report, CLICK HERE.
