Road rage leads to gunfire in Beloit

BELOIT (WREX)- Beloit Police responded to a call of a gunshot around 2 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Milwaukee Road and White Avenue.

Police say 20-year-old Kevyn Whitehead was driving and upset about another driver going too slow. Police say Whitehead screamed at that driver, allegedly pulled a gun and fired a shot.

That shot went into the other vehicle’s tire, according to police.

Police arrested Whitehead in the 3200 block of Colley Road.

Police say they recovered a handgun and a small amount of marijuana. Whitehead was taken into custody and charged with endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.
