ROCKFORD (WREX) – A hospice that has been in business for 40 years moved to a new location in Rockford.
Northern Illinois Hospice held a ribbon cutting Tuesday as it officially moved into its new home on Harrison Avenue. According to the hospice, the new building provides double the space that will better accommodate staff and volunteers. The group adds that the additional space will allow for the opportunity to offer the community a variety of events.
“We support families at end of life and we were limited in our former space. But we have no limitations here. We are so excited,” said Lisa Novak, the CEO of Northern Illinois Hospice.
The community was also invited to an open house to take a tour, meet staff and learn about volunteer opportunities.
