ROCKFORD (WREX) — Community members had the opportunity to learn more about farming Friday.
Discovery Center Museum in Rockford hosted an E-I-E-I-O exhibit as part of its summer-long Family Fridays series. Each Friday, the museum showcases a new theme that relates to science and learning, while supplying families with a fun way to spend the summer days together.
This week’s E-I-E-I-O exhibit featured a petting zoo filled with farm animals, arts and crafts, farm-related science demonstrations, and even some information about bees.
Your next opportunity to join in the Family Friday fun is next Friday, July 19 with “To the Moon.” The exhibit will feature a day filled with games, crafts, rocket launches, special planetarium shows, and more. The feature comes just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
