Four hurt in Fourth of July shooting

ROCKFORD – (WREX) – Four Rockford men are in the hospital following a late night shooting on the Fourth of July.

Rockford Police say the shooting happened around 10 p.m. after an argument between people in the 1100 block of Preston Street. Officials did not provide an update on the condition of the victims who are all in their 30’s and 40’s.

Police say they do not think the shooting was random because all of the men knew each other.
