ComEd setting up cooling, charging stations for those still without power

ROCKFORD (WREX) — ComEd has set up a cooling and charging van and is making a charter bus available for those who need it.

The bus is set up in front of the UW Sports Factory on Madison Street in Rockford.

Thousands of people were without power Sunday after storms swept in to the area. ComEd estimates that number has dropped to about 600 and says power will be restored by this evening.

However, for safety, ComEd says it wants to make the cooling stations available to anyone who needs it.
