ROCKFORD (WREX)- A group of teens are working together to help others throughout Rockford.
Tuesday was the latest volunteer opportunity in a series called “Teen Volunteer Tuesdays,” held by the Rockford Public Library. Teens volunteered at Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary.
Every Tuesday throughout the summer, teens gather to volunteer in the downtown area.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for students in Rockford to really bond with their community and take some ownership in their community,” said Bridget Finn, Marketing Director at the Rockford Public Library. “The volunteer opportunities also gives them skills that might help them as they grow.”
Teen Volunteer Tuesdays are held every Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. at the Heart Interim Library.
