Two men arrested after allegedly burglarizing multiple vehicles

MACHESNEY PARK (WREX) — Two men are in custody after allegedly burglarizing multiple vehicles early Monday morning.

Jacob King, 20, and Justin Collier, 19, both of Machesney Park, were taken into custody on Monday.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the area of Teakwood Dr. and Ventura Blvd. around 3:15 a.m.

Authorities say the call they received were for multiple suspicious persons running down the street wearing ski masks.

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle found in the area and discovered the two men were involved in numerous vehicle burglaries.

Collier was charged with ten counts of burglary from a vehicle and King was charged with four counts.

Authorities say all the burglaries happened in Machensey Park.

Both King and Collier were lodged into the WInnebago County Jail.
