ROCKFORD – Former Keith Country Day volleyball star Zoe Nunez just finished up her freshman season at Notre Dame, and she found a lot of success right out of the gate.
Nunez racked up 1,113 assists and an average of 10.60 assists per set in her freshman season as Notre Dame’s primary setter to earn All-ACC Second Team and All-Freshman Team honors. She collected 40+ assists in 16 matches this season, including a 64-assist effort on the road vs. Georgia Tech on September 30. She also notched 205 digs for the Irish defense. Nunez also earned ACC All-Academic accolades.
She visited with 13 Sports Reporter Dan Cohen this week at City Market in downtown Rockford.
