Meyer’s Tails Up Farm set to host ‘Dog’s Day Out’ this weekend

BELVIDERE (WREX) — An event that allows you to bring your dog out for a day of fun is set to be held in Belvidere this weekend.

Meyer’s Tails Up Farm is hosting a Dog’s Day Out on June 9th.

The event is free and allows residents to bring their dog who will enjoy fun activities like agility courses, dock diving, canine aquatics, nose-work and more.

The farm is owned by Kent and Gwen Meyer, who also owns Meyer’s Canine Colony in Roscoe, and Meyer’s Animal House in DeForest, Wisconsin.

“It’s so important for people to remember that dogs need not just exercise, but mental stimulation,” says Gwen Meyer. “This event is designed, first to be a fun and free day out with your dog, but second, to allow owners to learn new ways to keep your dog happy and healthy.”

Dog’s Day Out is Sunday, June 9th from 1-4 p.m. on the 18 acre property of Meyer’s Tails Up Farm on 5390 Irene Road, Belvidere.
