ROCKFORD (WREX) – A local charity reached a big milestone on Thursday.

K-FACT celebrated its five year anniversary at the Burpee Museum. The event marked the charity’s anniversary, as well as the first college graduates to come from K-FACT’s program.

K-FACT organizers believe the past five years not only serve as proof of a concept, but also a sign of things to come for the company.

“This milestone means that I believe a definite indication that K-FACT is making change in the lives of girls in Rockford, and that we hope to be around Rockford changing lives for many many years to come,” K-FACT Founder Shamika Williams said.

K-FACT has helped over 395 girls in the past five years.
