MACHESNEY PARK – The NIC-10 boys volleyball sectional drought will continue for another year after Boylan ran up against a tough Barrington team at Harlem High School.

Fresh off a regional championship, the Titans were attempting to become the first boys volleyball team from their conference to win a sectional match, but the Broncos pulled away in Machesney Park to earn a 2-0 victory in the semifinals, winning 29-27, 25-16.

Boylan faced multiple set points in the first, but fought back from down 24-21, 25-24, 26-25, and 27-26 to keep things moving along. Barrington finally broke through to win by the necessary two, and took control in the second frame to end the Titans’ season.
