Rockford man wanted for murder is arrested in Chicago

ROCKFORD (WREX) — A Rockford man charged in a deadly stabbing last month has been taken into custody.

Keith Delao, 23, of Rockford, was charged in the murder of Ronnie Ray, 38.

Police say it happened on April 26th around 9:45 p.m. at Fairgrounds Park on Kilburn Ave. Officers arrived on scene and found Ray in a park gazebo, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Ray was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

On Monday, May 13th, members of the Chicago Police Department & FBI Violent Crimes Task Force located Delao in Chicago where he was taken into custody.

Delao has been transported back to Rockford and is now in the Winnebago County Jail.
