ROCKFORD (WREX)- Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and moms got the chance to get a free mini-makeover Friday at Crimson Ridge.
SPoRT Makeup hosted the event. The International Women’s Baseball Center owns Sport Makeup, with all proceeds going to the group’s mission to build a new museum and educational facility near Beyer Stadium.
Though the makeovers were free today, anything SPoRT Makeup sells goes to that $7 million project where the Rockford Peaches played.
“Advertising something like sports makeup doesn’t necessarily just say that you have to look good while playing a sport,” said Olivia Fluehr. “It’s helping maybe boost confidence for athletes that maybe don’t wear makeup. A lot of the time it doesn’t smear off.”
SPoRT Makeup will also soon add concealer and mascara to its lineup.
