Harlem girls track wins 3-A Antioch Sectional

ANTIOCH – The Harlem girls track and field team continued its postseason dominance. After winning the NIC-10 conference meet last week, the Lady Huskies put together a huge effort to win the 3-A Antioch Sectional meet, qualifying several athletes for state.

Hannah Bilodeau (100M), Cloey Fare (100M hurdles) and Breanna Sheldon (800M) all qualified for state in their events, along with the Lady Huskies’ 4x200M and 4x400M relay teams.

In the field, Olivia Lewis (long jump and triple jump), Katie Fare (shot put and discus) and Catie Daily (discus) all punched tickets to state.

Other NIC-10 athletes making it to state include the Hononegah and Belvidere North 4x800M relay teams, the Guilford 4x100M relay team, Belvidere North’s Kayla Hesano in the pole vault, Belvidere North’s Brooke Messenger in the high jump, Blue Thunder shot putter Sarah Hulstedt, North’s Gloria Oteng-Bediako in the triple jump, Guilford’s Shaniah Johnson in the triple jump and North’s Haley Dahl in the 300M hurdles.
