Rockford gas prices fall slightly

ROCKFORD (WREX) — Gas prices may have fallen slightly in Rockford but they are still higher than a month ago.

According to GasBuddy.com, prices have fallen 2 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.82. But the prices are still more than 10 cents per gallon higher than both a month ago and a year ago.

The national average price of gasoline has risen 1.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.89/g today. The national average is up 14.3 cents per gallon from a month ago, yet stands 9.1 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
