Winners announced in Illinois APBA 2018 contest

NORMAL, Ill. (AP) — Winners have been announced in the Illinois Associated Press Broadcasters Association 2018 contest.

The awards were announced during the Spring Convention of the Illinois News Broadcasters Association, Saturday, April 13, in Normal, Illinois.

Thirty broadcasters submitted 273 entries in the contest, which featured news, sports and investigative reporting as well as features, documentaries and newswriting from 2018.

The Associated Press is a not-for-profit news cooperative representing 1,400 newspapers and 5,000 broadcast stations in the United States.
