SPRINGFIELD (WREX)- Lawmakers in Springfield aim to crack down on sexual harassment in the workplace.

The Senate task force on sexual discrimination and harassment awareness made the announcement today. The task force plans to expand a law that would require Illinois workplaces to report data on harassment settlements to the state.

IL Senate Bill 1829 also requires workplaces to offer harassment prevention training if they don’t already.

The senate will vote on the bill in the next couple of weeks.
