ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Winnebago County Health Department invited the public to celebrate national
Public Health Week.
The department held an open house, which included tours of the health department and activities for kids. There were also trainings held on narcan and and trauma. During a presentation at the event, the department commemorated its new logo while also talking about both its strategic plan and community health assessment plan.
“We do it for the community and in partnership with the community. When we talk about public health, and we talk about that collaborating with it, it really is what the community drives what they want us to work on. And they work with us on it to drive those initiatives,” says Sandra Martell, the Winnebago County Public Health Administrator.
The health department also unveiled a new logo today.
