(NBC) – It’s that time of year again, when the time changes and if you’re confused about which way to set your clock, remember to spring forward!
At 2 a.m. you should manually move your clocks ahead by one hour, so that it becomes 3 a.m.
Daylight Saving Time starts overnight into Sunday for the 101st year in a row.
The practice began in march of 1918 during world war one as a way to conserve coal.
But it became federal law in 1966 for 48 out of 50 states in the country.
Hawaii and Arizona do not observed Daylight Saving Time.
Your smartphones, cable boxes, and other Wi-Fi-connected devices will change automatically, but you’ll have to reset the other time keepers that get you through the day and night.
