Rockford Police arrest 2nd suspect in connection to 2018 gas station murder

ROCKFORD (WREX) — The second suspect wanted in connection to a November 2018 murder is now in custody.

Antonio Sago II, 29, of Rockford, turned himself in on Monday, February 11th.

Sago was wanted in connection to a deadly shooting at the Citgo gas station on Auburn St. on November 11, 2018. Jennifer Jones, 37, of Rockford, died as a result of the shooting. A 25-year-old man was also hospitalized from the shooting.

In January, Rockford Police announced the arrest of Marquell Longs, 26, of Rockford. Both Longs and Sago are being held in the Winnebago County Jail with $10 million bonds.

Police say a third suspect, Devontai Dodson, is still at large.
