Suspect in Freeport stabbing pleads not guilty

FREEPORT (WREX) — The man accused of stabbing and killing his ex-girlfriend last week in Freeport pleads not guilty.

Chad Blaser appeared in court Monday pleading not guilty. Police say he stabbed and killed Gabriel Petsche on February 4th. She was found dead near her car that hit a snow bank at the intersection of West Avenue and Pleasent Street in Freeport.

Blaser will face a jury trial in April.
