$1M Powerball prize won in DeKalb

DEKALB (WREX) — If you bought a Powerball ticket in DeKalb, you might want to check it right away. A grocery store in DeKalb sold a $1,000,000 winning Powerball ticket in the Saturday, Feb. 9 drawing.

The winning ticket was purchased at Schnucks, 975 S. Annie Glidden Road, and matched all five numbers – 01 – 02 – 03 – 07 – 39 – to win the prize.

The ticket did not match the Powerball, which was 25. The retailer will receive a bonus of $10,000, or one percent of the prize of amount, for selling the winning ticket.

The Illinois Lottery urges the lucky winner to sign the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.
