BELOIT (WREX) — The Beloit Fire Department says no one was hurt after Kettle Foods caught fire Friday morning.

It happened around 3 a.m. in the 3100 block of Kettle Way. When first responders arrived on scene, they say all the employees were already evacuated.

Officials found fire smoke coming from the cook area. Firefighters were able to put the fire out and clear the smoke out of the exhaust system. Authorities say the sprinkler system was activated and helped keep the fire from spreading.

There is no word on cost of damage at this time, but officials expect it to be a significant amount due to the piece of equipment that caught fire.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
