STEPHENSON COUNTY (WREX) — Appearing in court for the first time on Thursday, the man accused of shooting and killing two men at a Cedarville bar over the weekend pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Devin Marcum appeared in a Stephenson County courtroom alongside his attorney. He wore an orange jail jumpsuit and answered yes or no questions when the judge spoke to him about the eight charges he now faces in the deadly shooting.

Authorities say Marcum, 23 of Freeport, shot and killed 35-year-old Kyle Tucker and 36-year-old Shaun Bradbury on Sunday morning after a fight escalated at the bar. Michael Steinhauser, 35, was also shot but survived.

He faces charges including four counts of first degree murder, one count for attempted murder, one count of aggravated battery with a firearm, one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm, and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

Marcum will appear in court again on April 4 for a pretrial hearing.
