Winnebago’s girls basketball team got a big performance from freshman Miyah Brown, as she scored 30 points to help the Lady Indians beat Oregon, 83-44, to advance to the 2-A Regional final on their home floor.

In the other Regional semifinal at Winnebago, Byron took care of business against Rockford Christian, winning 57-28. That sets up a Regional final game between Byron and Winnebago Friday night at 7 o’clock. The two teams played last Friday, with Winnebago winning by a point.

In 1-A Regional action, Dakota defeated Pecatonica, 41-22, while Forreston beat Ashton-Franklin Center, 54-36, setting up a Dakota vs. Forreston Regional final in Polo Friday night.

In the 1-A Durand Regional, the hosts knocked off Alden-Hebron, 53-50, while Aquin took care of Orangeville, 82-48, setting up an Aquin vs. Durand matchup Thursday night.

Stockton is hosting a 1-A Regional. The Lady Blackhawks beat Pearl City, 50-16. Stockton will face Sterling Newman in the Regional Final Friday night.

In the 1-A Galena Regional, Eastland and East Dubuque both won, setting up a Regional Final between those two teams Friday night.

In the Annawan Regional, Amboy beat Galva, 63-30. Amboy will face the host school Annawan on Thursday night.
