ROCKFORD – Hononegah graduate Josh McArdle rifled home his first career goal when a puck caromed out to him in front of the net as he gave the IceHogs a quick lead, and they picked up their 5th straight win, 2-1, over Wilkes Barre-Scranton.

McArdle’s goal came less than two minutes into the game, but the IceHogs gave up a goal a minute later, as Jarrett Burton scored a breakaway goal for the Penguins to tie it up.

Later in the first, the IceHogs took advantage of a 5-on-3 power play, as Dylan Sikura fed Luke Johnson for the go-ahead goal, which proved to be the game-winner.

The IceHogs continue their six game homestand with Friday and Saturday night games against Tucson.
