South Beloit invites the public to celebrate National Winnie the Pooh Day

SOUTH BELOIT (WREX) — The public is invited to celebrate National Winnie the Pooh Day in South Beloit with Winter Adventures in the 100 Acre Woods program.

The free program is geared towards children 4-7 years old and includes story time, snacks, nature craft, and free-play time and an optional Winter Walk About at the end of the program.

The event kicks off the Nature Kids Winter Adventures In The 100 Acre Woods program series which is inspired by the Winnie the Pooh stories. National Winnie the Pooh Day commemorates the author’s birthday, January 18, 1882.

The event is Saturday, January 19th from 10-11 a.m. at Nature at the Confluence in South Beloit.

The adventure series culminates in a free outdoor screening of the newly released “Christopher Robin” movie on Friday, August 9th, held in partnership with the Beloit International Film Festival.
