Harlem wins NIC-10 dance competition

ROCKFORD – Harlem returned to center stage, winning the NIC-10 conference dance championship for the 2nd time in three years, edging out defending champion Freeport by a little more than half a point.

Harlem finished with a final score of 83.67, with Freeport taking 2nd with a score of 83.10. Host East rounded out the top three, scoring 78.97.

Next up, Rockford area teams will head to the Huntley Sectional next Saturday to try to qualify for state.
