ASHTON – Jaynee Prestegaard is the last in a line of Prestegaard sisters who have done big things for Ashton-Franklin Center’s basketball team over the past several years. Jaynee just broke her older sister Madeline’s all-time scoring record a couple of weeks ago, and the oldest sister, Allison, paved the way for the two of them. Jaynee appreciates learning from them over the years.
“They’ve taught me a lot and I’ve learned a lot from them,” Jaynee Prestegaard said. “I’m so grateful for them. And they’re the best sisters I could ask for.”
Jaynee is cementing her own legacy, leading the Lady Raiders on a ten game winning streak as they try to make a run at a conference title.
“She’s done so much for our team and area and inspired young players around us,” A-FC head coach Chris Jahn said. “Everything we do from this point on is going to be great memories for us. And we’re sad to see her go but we’re enjoying her while we’ve got her.”
The Lady Raiders and their fans will enjoy this last ride with the final Prestegaard sister, knowing they’ve witnessed something special the past several years on the basketball court.
