Remaining Ad Time Ad - 00:00

A busy Tuesday night of basketball across the region saw a pair of 1,000-point scorers in the NUIC girls ranks and a big performance from the Big Northern boys side.

Aquin’s Abby Barr and Eastland’s Lydia Coatney joined the millennial echelon of their respective programs. Barr needed 13 points to achieve the feat, and finished with 14 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 assists in a 65-53 Lady Bulldogs win over Durand. Coatney hit the mark for the Lady Cougars in a 61-40 victory over Galena.

In a non-conference boys game, Dixon beat Rochelle, 65-52, as Dukes senior Beau Bailey went for 28 points.
