One person injured in house fire in Rockford

UPDATE: ROCKFORD (WREX) — The Rockford Fire Department says the person who was hurt in a fire this morning is expected to be OK.

The fire department responded to a house fire on the 600 block of Alliance Avenue, just after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Two adults and a child were home at the time of the fire. One of the adults was taken to the hospital, but their injuries are considered minor at this time.

The home sustained heavy damage, but was not ruled a total loss by the department. The cause of the fire is under investigation.


ROCKFORD (WREX) — One person has been taken to the hospital after a house catches fire in Rockford.

The Rockford Fire Department announced on Twitter they were at the scene of a structure fire on the 600 block of Alliance Avenue in Rockford around 10:15 Thursday morning.

The fire department says one person was hurt in the fire and was taken to the hospital. There’s no word on how serious the person is hurt.
