Three teens charges in vehicle burglary

WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WREX) — Three teenage males have been been charged with burglary to vehicle after police find them in possession of the stolen items.

It happened Friday morning in the area of 2000 Wilcox Rd., which is unincorporated Winnebago County.

Officials received a call of suspicious subjects walking in the area. When police arrived, they found three teenage boys, ages 13, 14 and 14, walking in the area. The teenagers were found to be in possession of stolen items from a vehicle in the area.

The teenagers with charged with burglary to a vehicle and obstructing identification. The teenagers were lodged in juvenile detention.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department reminds the public to call the non emergency line if they see any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
