Three Rockford men arrested for warrants, fleeing from police

ROCKFORD (WREX)- Three men are in jail after a foot chase in Rockford on Monday.

Rockford Police, FBI Rockford Area Violent Gang Task Force and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security were in the 1400 block of North Main Street looking for Andashawn Howard.

Howard was wanted on six Rockford arrest warrants. Police saw him getting out of a vehicle in a public parking lot. When officers came up to him, he ran.

Two other people were in the car with Howard, Joel Jackson and Vandalle Reed. They also ran away when police came up to them.

Police eventually arrested all three. While chasing Jackson, police say he threw a bag of heroin.

 

Howard faces the following charges.

-ARREST WARRANT (AGGRAVATED DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM-$200,000 BOND)

-ARREST WARRANT (POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE-$75,000 BOND)

-ARREST WARRANT (DELIVERY OF COCAINE-$400,000 BOND)

-ARREST WARRANT (AGGRAVATED BATTERY-$20,000 BOND)

-ARREST WARRANT (CONTEMPT OF COURT-$400,000 BOND)

-ARREST WARRANT (CONTEMPT OF COURT-$10,000 BOND)

-POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DELIVER HEROIN 1-15 GRAMS

-RESISTING A PEACE OFFICER

 

Joel Jackson faces the following charges.

-RESISTING A PEACE OFFICER-INJURY

-POSSESSION OF CANNABIS 2.5-10 GRAMS

 

Vandalle Reed faces the following charges.

-RESISTING A PEACE OFFICER

-POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DELIVER CANNABIS 2.5-10 GRAMS
