Winnebago residents work on the set of Chicago Fire as extras

WINNEBAGO (WREX) – If you watched Wednesday night’s episode of Chicago Fire, you may have seen a couple of Winnebago residents appear on the show.

Khloe and Kris Wiegers shot scenes as extras on the show. The opportunity to work on the set came up after Khloe and Kris’ mother found a casting call on Facebook where the kids fit one of the descriptions. It ended up being a big experience for both kids.

“I thought normally on TV, you see like lights, camera, action,” Khloe Wiegers said. “And it’s nothing like that. It’s like different words and everything. So when they actually said the words, I was like ‘those aren’t the words I thought they were.”
